Traditional Greek Pies

Pies are a huge part of the Greek gastronomy. Learn all the secrets for a successful Greek pie, how to make your own “fillo” (pie crust), how to prepare a juicy and tasteful filling. Depending on the season, we teach you how to make a different pie such as spanakopita (spinach pie), tiropita (cheese pie) or kolokithopita (zucchini pie). Until the pie is golden brown and ready, we go for a walk in the village and we learn a few things about the local herbs and greens. We then return to our base, set the table and taste the pita together with more tasty local treats.

Seasonal cooking

The Greek family always gathers around a table. This very seminar is all about food gatherings and their significance in the Greek society. Depending always on the season, you will learn how to make a Greek “Sunday” dinner from scratch: slow cooked goat or lamb meat with oven baked potatoes, cock in rich red sauce with traditional pasta, zucchini blossoms with mizithra cheese and many more seasonal recipes. While the food is getting ready, you will be given a short tour on our beautiful village, meet the people, feel the energy, get charmed by its nature and finally get hungry. Back in the hotel, we altogether prepare the table as a big family, ready to eat, drink, talk and share experiences.
